Free Lesson Month at World Golf Village
Throughout May, the public can enjoy free golf instruction at World Golf Village's Slammer & Squire. Participating professional instructors will offer free, 10-minute lessons from participating throughout the month. Free Lesson Month is ideal for a variety of golfers, giving beginners an easy and casual program for a quick introduction to the game and offering avid golfers professional instruction on fine-tuning their game. World Golf Hall of Fame Putting Championship Final Round | Saturday, May 2

Anti-Aging, Health & Beauty Seminar Series | Monday, May 4, 5:00-7:00 pm
The PGA TOUR Spa Laterra and Dr. Garg from Medisolare Wellness Center will be teaming up on May 4 for an interactive and informative series on Anti-Aging, Health and Beauty. Riding Into History Motorcycle Concours D'Elegance | Saturday, May 16
Riding Into History, one of America’s premier motorcycle events, will return to the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla. for the 10th year on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature classic American motorcycles and include charity rides to World Golf Village, a bike show featuring hundreds of motorcycles along the Village's Walk of Champions and a Biker's Ball to be held at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village. All proceeds will benefit Buddy Check 12™, a partnership between Baptist Health and First Coast News to aid in the prevention and detection of breast cancer. Bob Hope Stamp Unveiling |
Saturday, May 30
The United States Postal Service will hold a second-day stamp unveiling honoring Bob Hope at the World Golf Hall of Fame Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 10 a.m., a perfect compliment to the Hall's current featured exhibit, "Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory." The unveiling ceremony will feature special speakers, the official stamp unveiling by USPS representatives and a birthday cake for Hope, whose 106th birthday would have been May 29, 2009. The ceremony will be free and open to the public and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase commemorative cachets with the newly released stamp on site. All attending guests to the event can enjoy the special exhibit, "Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory," complimentary in the World Golf Hall of Fame until noon. Additionally, active, retired and reserve members of the military will receive free admission to the World Golf Hall of Fame throughout the day with proper identification. 2008 Inductee Exhibits
Now open in the museum's Shell Hall are the 2008 Inductee Exhibits. Featuring the 2008 Class of Sir Bob Charles, Pete Dye, Carol Semple Thompson, Denny Shute, Herbert Warren Wind and Craig Wood, the exhibits feature their inspirational stories accompanied by personal and professional memorabilia, awards and treasures they have accumulated over the years.

"Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory"
The World Golf Hall of Fame is featuring one of golf’s greatest ambassadors in a special exhibition, “Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory,” which tells the story of his life, entertainment career, relationship with U.S. Presidents, and his devotion to the men and women of the military, as well as his lifelong love affair with golf. The exhibit features more than 300 vintage images, 400 artifacts, more than two hours of video, and a unique audio tour that includes comments from Dolores, Linda and Bob Hope as well as clips from his radio broadcasts and tributes from celebrities and Hall of Fame members.
“Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory” is the Hall of Fame’s showcase member exhibition throughout 2009 and offers the largest collection of Bob Hope memorabilia ever available on public display.
