Family Golf Month at World Golf Village
During Family Golf Month, World Golf Village will offer a series of programs for family members to learn the game and play golf together. Junior tees will be set on each hole at Slammer & Squire and the month will feature special contests, exclusive pricing and more just for families. In addition, the month includes “Take Your Kids to the Course Week” July 6 through 12, allowing juniors to play golf for free with an adult. More on Family Golf Month at World Golf Village.

World Golf Village Community Fireworks | July 2
Join one of the largest fireworks displays in Northeast Florida as the World Golf Village celebrates Independence Day. Bring blankets or lawn chairs and find a spot around the Walk of Champions to take in the grand fireworks show. Restaurants and shops will be open to the public and a minimal parking fee will be required for entry to the event. Coolers not allowed. For event information, call (904) 940-4123.

Fireworks, Dinner and Transformers | July 2
A limited number of “dinner and a movie” packages to complement the fireworks show are available for pre-purchase by calling (904) 940-4010. Enjoy an All-American buffet dinner at Fairways Café beginning at 5:30 p.m. followed by a special showing of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” at the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX® Theater. The package also includes free putting on the Hall’s 18-hole putting course and two adult drink tickets. Prices are $35 for adults and $30 for children. Movie Club Members are $25 for adults and $20 for children. For reservations call, (904) 940-4010.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Opening Day | July 22, 2009
Opening at the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX® Theater this summer, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince brings the Hogwarts back to the giant screen.  Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is colored by two truths: Lord Voldemort is wreaking havoc on much of Britain and teenage hormones are fully raging. In the film, Harry finds a mysterious potions book bearing the inscription, "Property of the Half-Blood Prince.”  He begins to explore its custom-made instructions and spells, excelling at creating the potions, but also learning about the ambiguity of magic. Professor Dumbledore also takes Harry on a journey through memory lane to unravel the mystery of Voldemort's past, and later, his immortality.  This film is rated PG-13 and will be a special engagement at the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater.

PGA TOUR Golf Academy at World Golf Village Junior Summer Camps | June through August, 2009
Providing young people of all skill levels the opportunity to improve their game, the PGA TOUR Golf Academy's annual Junior Camps offer several options of camps structured for beginner, intermediate or advanced junior golfers. Military Discount | May 23 - July 5
All active, reserve and retired military will receive free admission to the Hall of Fame and one round on the putting course per visit. The offer is extended to up to four dependents. This offer does not include an IMAX film.

Florida/Georgia Local Resident Rate | May 23 - October 1
Local residents can enjoy all-day Hall of Fame admission and one round on the putting course for $10.00. Residents of FL/GA must present a driver's license or another form of identification verifying residency. This offer does not include an IMAX film.

2008 Inductee Exhibits
Now open in the museum's Shell Hall are the 2008 Inductee Exhibits.  Featuring the 2008 Class of Sir Bob Charles, Pete Dye, Carol Semple Thompson, Denny Shute, Herbert Warren Wind and Craig Wood, the exhibits feature their inspirational stories accompanied by personal and professional memorabilia, awards and treasures they have accumulated over the years.

"Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory"
The World Golf Hall of Fame is featuring one of golf’s greatest ambassadors in a special exhibition, “Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory,” which tells the story of his life, entertainment career, relationship with U.S. Presidents, and his devotion to the men and women of the military, as well as his lifelong love affair with golf. The exhibit features more than 300 vintage images, 400 artifacts, more than two hours of video, and a unique audio tour that includes comments from Dolores, Linda and  Bob Hope as well as clips from his radio broadcasts and tributes from celebrities and Hall of Fame members.
“Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory” is the Hall of Fame’s showcase member exhibition throughout 2009 and offers the largest collection of Bob Hope memorabilia ever available on public display.
