Each year, the World Golf Hall of Fame adds to its membership by inducting the greatest players and contributors within the game of golf. The annual Induction Ceremony takes place each fall at the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Fla. and is held on an outdoor stage adjacent to the Hall of Fame. Inductees are welcomed by a fellow Hall of Fame member in front of fans, family, friends and other members. The ceremony is free and open to the public with limited seating provided and broadcasted to an international audience on the Golf Channel.
During the ceremony, inductees receive a special Induction trophy and on the day of the Induction Ceremony, exhibits celebrating each member of the new class open to the public. Inductees' personal items are also added to their individual lockers in the Member Locker Room and bronze relief plaques for each are placed alongside the other members on the "Wall of Fame," located in Shell Hall. |
