 We are stewards of their memories, world-class achievements, and excellence. Through stories of the achievements and experiences of the Hall of Fame members, we preserve golf's rich history and tradition. This exciting mission guides us every day. As a not-for-profit institution classified as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3), the World Golf Hall of Fame is a focal point for the celebration of the past, present, and future of the great game of golf.
In order to meet the challenge of this mission, the World Golf Hall of Fame:
- Collects artifacts, works of art, and photographs significant to the history of golf, especially its members.
- Preserves, documents, catalogs and adds to our collections.
- Educates through curatorially sound and attractive exhibits and identifies opportunities to take these exhibits beyond the museum's walls.
- Honors those who have made the most exceptional contributions to golf.

Donors receive recognition that is commensurate with their level of support, and gifts greater than $50 will be acknowledged, beginning in 2010, on our Web site and in other ways.
Gifts may be deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please consult your attorney or tax advisor for details. All gifts, regardless of size, are welcomed. |
Annual Fund Gifts |
Donations that support the organization's most pressing needs, capital programs, and ongoing mission programs are encouraged. Unrestricted gifts are applied to the Annual Fund.

Gifts in excess of $1,000 will be recognized in the following categories:

Legacy Gifts |
Bequests
You may include the Hall of Fame in your will by making a bequest in a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the total estate, or the residual remaining after all debts, taxes, expenses and other bequests have been paid. You may also make specific bequests of securities or property such as rare art objects, rare books or collectibles. Your estate can receive an estate tax charitable deduction for your bequest. You may make a bequest to the Museum by preparing a new will or revising an existing one.
Retirement Plan Beneficiary
Due to the significant taxes imposed on retirement plan assets at death, making a gift through a beneficiary designation on your 401k, 403b, or IRA may be one of the most prudent gift assts you can give.
Charitable Trusts
Charitable trusts provide a unique giving arrangement that allow the donor to receive income from the trust for life, leaving the balance to charity. Many tax incentives and savings are realized through the use of these types of giving arrangements.
Life Insurance
Naming the World Golf Hall of Fame as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy is a very cost effective means of making a significant legacy gift. Because premiums are a fraction of the death benefit, life insurance allows a donor to make a much greater gift with less total investment.
