No one can have a party like the Europeans. They win in that category every year. At least in the two years I was captain, everyone on our team ended up at their parties!

The teams have always found ways to bond and spend time together beyond playing golf. We’ve had table tennis and pool tournaments, including all the players and caddies. It was a bit of extra fun on top of a very exciting week.

After early matches on Sundays, the captain typically sends out players who are finished to root on the others. There are tell-tale signs of certain players being assigned to important matches. Sometimes the opponents can’t deal with seeing certain players out there supporting the opposition.
